The Christian Philosophy- A biblical view of life

Everyone views life through a personal filter. Optimists see opportunities, while pessimists see defeat, even in the same situation. This filter, or philosophy, shapes responses and life direction. Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he,” emphasizing the importance of a correct filter.

Colossians 2:8 warns against being misled by worldly philosophies and traditions. Paul cautions believers to guard their treasure—the truth from God—against deception. Jesus also highlighted this in Matthew 15:8-9, criticizing those who honor God outwardly but follow human doctrines over divine truth.

Today, many Christians know the scriptures intellectually but are influenced by worldly philosophies. There are people who despite knowing teachings on prosperity, had a poverty mentality from their upbringing. This mindset limited her despite her knowledge of God’s promises.

Your core philosophy shapes your life. If negative, it manifests as failure; if positive, it leads to success. Satan subtly uses human philosophy to deceive, as seen with Adam and Eve in Genesis 3:1-5. They began with pure dependence on God but were tricked into questioning His goodness.

Satan continues to influence society against God’s Word. Many Christians lack firm belief systems, swayed by culture over scripture. If your core philosophy is negative, meditate on God’s Word to transform your beliefs. Hebrews 4:12 states, “For the word of God is quick, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.”
